Quick Facts
Established in 1963, IBSIS-RMBS is the longest-running biomedical engineering society meeting in the world.
Most presenters are students: over 64% of presentations since 2017.
IBSIS and RMBS have received numerous generous donations over the years, including support from charitable foundations, industrial leaders, and hosting institutions. From time to time, we have been the grateful recipients of estate donations as well. Since 2001, external support has been more than $110,000. This has allowed us to not only publish the Biomedical Sciences Instrumentation Journal, but host engaging annual Symposiums at state-of-the-art institutions, to which we attract high-quality presentations, speakers, and workshops from around the world. With your support, we can continue this legacy.

Detailed Descriptions of Supporter Offerings
- Booth - a booth is a flattop table, approximately 6" x 30" and two chairs. Locations are numbered on the map above and most booth locations include power.
- Rotating Digital Board - the Translational Medicine Institute features several displays located throughout the common areas of the building. A rotating digital board is screen time, shared with other supporters, on those displays throughout the length of the Symposium.
- Journal Advertisement - journal advertisement is a quarter-page, half-page, or full-page advertisement in our journal, Biomedical Sciences Instrumentation. This can be substituted in part or in full for advertisement on our website, RMBS.org.
- Window Decals - window decals are temporary decals, printed by the Translational Medicine Institute from supporter-provided logo graphics, that will be displayed on the building's windows (visible from outside) throughout the length of the Symposium.
- Industry Sponsored Award - this award, selected by the supporter, is in addition to the typical student and professional awards offered at the Symposium and allows a sponsor to honor an outstanding presenter. A portion of the support goes to the awardee and a portion is used to support standard awards given each year (which include top student, top professional, and Program Chair's Choice awards).
- Keynote Session Sponsor - sponsoring a keynote session assists us with bringing renowned experts to the Symposium by helping cover their travel, lodging, and registration costs.
- Breakfast/Lunch/President's Banquet Sponsor - these sponsorships help cover catering costs. We are pleased to announce all meal sponsors at their sponsored meal, as well as provide a few minutes for a sponsor slideshow or speaker at the start of each meal.
- Paper Session Sponsor - spaper session sponsorships help offset the costs of a hybrid meeting. Sponsored sessions may be co-moderated by sponsors if desired.
